Vlog Soup: Episode 1

Welcome to Vlog Soup, Episode 1.

People always ask me, "Steve, what video blogs do you watch?"

Well, here are some of the vlogs that I watched this morning. Right now I'm a little behind in watching all the vlogs that I've subscribed to with FireANT. I've got 331 unwatched.

But, the good news is that I just watched a bunch, and share with you a glimpse at them.

Here they are:

Lee Wilkins tapes TV

Raymond makes coffee

Starfire recalls his first kiss

Alex and Max got to Birmingham

White Guy eats Foreign Foods - Vegmite

Enjoy!

Video: Cleaning Up Grafitti

Boston City Councillor John Tobin heads out to Hyde Square and filed this video report on the grafitti problems in the district and his ideas of how to get it cleaned up.

"We work too hard, we pay too high a rent and too high a mortgage to let our neighborhoods slip away into the hands of vandals in terms of grafitti. It's one of those basic quality of life issues we work on every day in the City Council. It's good to have a voice and listen to our police department to see what kind of tools we can deploy to keep the residents of District Six and the City of Boston safe and have them live in neighborhoods that we know are inviting. We'll work hard on it."

Boys 2 Men

Boys 2 Men, a short film by Paul Michaels.

I played a part in Paul Michaels film that he shot as an entry into the Geek My Ride Film Festival held at Macworld in Boston. Half the footage had to be shot on the day of the contest, and then it had to be edited in the back seat of a Lexus using Final Cut Pro.

Paul says of my participation, "I knew you would be great for the part and you exceeded my expectations!"

Introduction of end of year project at Boston University.

Song For Cindy Sheehan

Candlelight vigils were held all across the United States tonight to support Cindy Sheehan.

I went down to The Monument on Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, Mass to document the event.

When I got back from shoting video of the vigil I saw that David Rovics had written a "Song for Cindy Sheehan" on August 13th, 2005. On his site he says that he wants visitors to use the MP3 for any purpose. Cool.

So I set my video to his music.

Here are some still shots from the video.
